This set of six cards was devised not for spectacle, but clarity. At the beginning of the twentieth century, small private consultation systems were sometimes devised by readers who preferred simplicity over spectacle. Rather than dozens of elaborate images, a handful of carefully chosen symbols were used, each representing a fundamental condition encountered in life’s decisions.

The Edwardian Oracle follows this quieter tradition. This small set of six symbolic consultation cards allows the reader to explore a Yes/No question through what was once called “The Consultation of Three.”

The cards describe condition, influence, and direction. The answer emerges not from a single emblem, but from their arrangement of three cards.

The remaining symbols, unseen yet present, remind us that not every influence reveals itself at once, for there are 120 ordered arrangements of three cards from the six available. The system is simple, direct, and remarkably revealing, making it suitable for private parties, corporate events, coffee shops, and casual hangouts!
