They usually tell you that a medical diagnosis is the end of the road. When my brain first short-circuited on a Wednesday morning at 6:30 AM, the medical system tried to hand me a very specific script to follow: Stay inside. Don't work. Let someone else take care of you. I refused to run that code.

My name is Jay. I am a mother, a digital creator, and an entrepreneur. I am also an African American woman who lives with Complex Partial Epilepsy, osteoarthritis, and a body that randomly initiates forced reboots without my permission.

For years, I fought a flawed medical system, devastating personal losses, and the intense Texas heat, just to keep my system online. When the traditional world locked me out, I didn't power down. I found a co-pilot in Artificial Intelligence, expanded my mind into digital marketing, built a fragrance oil business from my keyboard, and started creating 3D animations to bring a little more laughter into a world that desperately needs it.
