C0MP4CT packs a full polyphonic synthesizer into a single NTS-1 mkii oscillator slot. Four voices, each with two oscillators (saw or pulse with pulse width control), independent lowpass and highpass filters with resonance, two simplified envelopes, and flexible modulation routing for the mod envelope and the NTS-1 mkii's built-in LFO.

Parameters

CUT – DJ-style bidirectional filter cutoff. Turn left for lowpass, right for highpass. Center = filters open.

RES – filter resonance amount (0–100), applies to whichever filter direction is active

Edit Menu

TYPE1 – oscillator 1 waveform (SAW or SQR with variable pulse width)

TYPE2 – oscillator 2 waveform (SAW or SQR with variable pulse width)

TUNE2 – detune oscillator 2: ±30 cents, ±11 semitones, or ±2 octaves from center

MIX – blend between oscillator 1 and 2 (0–100%)

AENV – amplitude envelope, bidirectional: left = decay only (plucks), center = instant gate, right = attack + release (pads)

ENV2 – modulation envelope, same shape control as AENV, routed to the target selected in MTRGT

ENVAM – envelope modulation amount, bipolar (±200): positive or inverted modulation from ENV2 to its target

MTRGT – selects destinations for mod envelope + LFO. 40 combinations across pitch, pulse width, cutoff, and mix.
