Should I pursue Self-Enquiry exclusively or follow the interests/activities my heart is leading me to?

Is it true that the ego is only attracted to happiness which comes from objects via the senses and into the mind and is not attracted to the happiness that comes from the Self? What do I do about this?

Is it possible that Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi or God finds ways to make sure I stay humble on this path?

I think the practice of 'neti-neti' (negation; I am not this, not that) is not the full Self-Enquiry, am I right?

Why do I feel like I am going in and out of Liberation and yet when I enquire my mind says there is no one here?
