This pattern is available both in English and French.

Knitters know it well, it’s not uncommon to fall in love with a piece that you see in a tv show or in a movie. So we take screenshots and we say to ourselves “I could totally knit this”. That’s exactly what happened with the new design I’m proposing you today.

Freely inspired by a cardigan seen in the namesake tv show, the Home Before Dark sweater is the perfect Autumn garment. Whether you prefer it with wide stripes or in a plain version (I couldn’t choose, I needed both), it’s as easy to knit as it is comfy to wear.

With its raglan sleeves and striped ribbing parts, it’s a project just the way I like them: simple but which allows you to have fun with colors and make an interpretation that will perfectly match your own tastes.

21 sts/28 rows for 10 cm in stocking stitch on 3.5 mm needles

Finished bust measurement approx. 90 (98 – 106 – 114) 122 – 130 (138 – 146 – 154) cm 

Choose a size with approx. 8 cm of positive ease, or according to your preference. 

I’m wearing the striped sweater in a size 4 with 16 cm of positive ease, and the solid color sweater in a size 3 with 8 cm of positive ease.

Les tricoteuses le savent bien, il n’est pas rare de flasher sur une pièce qu’on voit dans une série ou dans un film. Alors on fait des captures d’écrans et on se dit « ça je pourrais tout à fait le tricoter ». C’est exactement ce qui s’est passé avec le nouveau modèle que je vous propose aujourd’hui.

Librement inspiré d’un gilet vu dans la série du même nom, le pull Home Before Dark est le parfait chandail d’automne. Que vous le préfériez avec de larges rayures ou en version unie (moi je n’ai pas su choisir, j’ai tricoté les deux), il est aussi facile à tricoter qu’il est agréable à porter.

Avec ses emmanchures raglan et ses bordures en côtes rayées, c’est un projet comme je les aime : simple, mais qui permet de s’amuser avec les couleurs et d’en tricoter une interprétation qui correspondra parfaitement à ses propres goûts.
