THE WRITER IN YOU

Develop writing routines that work for you!

January 9, 2026 to March 20, 2026

A 10-week Interactive Workshop for Writers of All Levels

Our writing journeys are personal, with each of us working towards different goals. Some of us plot everything out, while others write by the seat of their pants. Some of us are night owls; others are early birds; and others are most productive at lunchtime. Some writers thrive with the slow-and-steady approach, while others are driven to write as fast as they can, until they just need to nap. And let’s not forget how life constantly gets in the way. And the advice comes from every direction.

But not all advice works for everyone, because everyone is different.

The Writer in You is an examination of the things that make each of us different. Our goals. Our motivations. Our writing habits. And our successes.

You will be encouraged to examine your ultimate dreams, your inspiration, and what drives you as a writer. You will examine your writing habits and the tools you use. And you will devise strategies to increase productivity that work for you.

Time to dive deep into what makes us tick as individuals. It's time to discover The Writer in You.

This course is a 10-week interactive course, with a weekly Q&A session with writing coach Judy L Mohr via Zoom. And each week, students will be invited to participate in a Zoom-based group accountability session, with multiple time slots available to choose from.

Course Curriculum

The program starts on January 9th, 2026, and goes for 10 weeks.

Topics covered:

  • Hopes and dreams… and the true reasons we write
  • Setting goals and developing goal themes
  • Examination of our unique quirks (and weeding through the advice noise)
  • Examination of our current routines (and reminder that life happens too)
  • Developing routines for our unique personalities and lifestyle.
  • Building support networks
  • Self-care strategies
  • Other writers that we admire
  • Celebrating the wins

Weekly Q&A sessions will be recorded, so you will have access to the replays (in case you missed the session or would like to go back and revisit some of the ideas). However, the weekly accountability session will not be recorded, as we will be diving into personal aspects of those in the group.

This is not a set-once-and-forget process, but one that requires constant refinement as our life circumstances constantly change. As such, each element of this course is designed to be used again and again. Whether you are a new writer or one who has been at this for years, we all can benefit from taking a step back and reminding ourselves of the writer in each of us.

Course Fee Includes

Included with your course fee is the following:

  • Printable workbooks to accompany each lesson
  • Digital worksheets that you can use again and again
  • Access to live weekly Q&A sessions (and the replays) (via Zoom)
