Meet the Priska Scarf—a modern, cozy Tunisian crochet neckwarmer designed with style, luxurious texture, and functionality in mind!

Featuring a clever integrated keyhole sleeve, this scarf slides through itself to stay securely in place all day long—no shawl pins required! Best of all, you can customize the fit of the keyhole loop loose or snug around your neck according to your personal preference.

Worked in a rhythmic, relaxing repeat of Tunisian Knit and Purl stitches, Priska offers an irresistible squishy, woven-like texture with stunning drape.

Pattern Details

  • Craft: Tunisian Crochet
  • Skill Level: Advanced Beginner / Intermediate

  • Stitches Used: Tunisian Knit Stitch (TKS), Tunisian Purl Stitch (TPS), Last Tunisian Stitch (LTS), Standard Return Pass (RetP), TKS Bind Off (TksBO) & TPS Bind Off (TpsBO)
  • Finished Measurements: 6” / 15 cm wide x 40” / 101.5 cm long (measured flat with loop folded and seamed; scarf will lengthen slightly with wear)

Yarn & Yardage Requirements

This pattern is written for two yarn weight options. Meeting gauge is key to achieving the intended drape and fit for both options!

  • Option 1 (Sample Shown): Fingering Weight held double with Suri Alpaca / Mohair.
  • C1 (Fingering Weight): 320 yards / 292 meters (Sample: Montana Crochet Sock in 'Juniper')
  • C2 (Suri or Mohair): 320 yards / 292 meters (Sample: Emma’s Yarn Suri Silk in 'Hammered')
  • Option 2: Single-strand DK Weight yarn (to meet gauge).

Hook, Notions & Materials

  • Hook: 6.0 mm Tunisian crochet hook with 6”–10” cable and end stopper (or size needed to obtain gauge)
  • Buttons (Optional): Three ¾” / 20 mm ornamental buttons (Sample buttons from Tinker’s Hollow)
  • Notions: Stitch markers (optional), yarn needle, scissors, blocking tools

Gauge

  • 16 sts x 15 rows = 4” x 4” / 10 cm x 10 cm worked holding C1 & C2 together in pattern repeat.
  • Important Note: Block your gauge swatch completely. I recommend waiting at least 48 hours after the swatch is fully dry to measure, as TKS stitches shrink slightly after drying.
