The Architecture of the Vivencia (session 1)
READING THE GROUP
From observation to provisional vivencial intention
How can we understand what a Biodanza group needs before we begin composing a vivencia?
Reading the Group is a 90-minute recorded professional-learning session for Biodanza teachers and facilitators. It explores the moment before creation: when the facilitator gathers observations, recognises recurring patterns and begins to formulate a possible vivencial direction.
The session opens with an embodied exploration of the Posición Generatriz de Inspiración and develops the question of how we listen to what is alive before giving form to a vivencia.
IN THIS SESSION, WE EXPLORE:
• The difference between direct observation, interpretation and what remains unknown
• Why a recurring pattern is more meaningful than an isolated movement or moment
• How our training, experience, culture, preferences and emotional responses influence interpretation
• Movement categories as a lens for observing individuals and groups
• The systemic movement model and what it allows facilitators to perceive
• The methodological functions of exercises and their relationship to different levels of integration
• How to work with groups containing different levels of experience and vivencial maturity
• The relationship between observation, informed interpretation, experience and intuition
• How accumulated observations can prepare the ground for a provisional vivencial intention
THIS LEARNING PACKAGE INCLUDES:
• The recording of the complete 90-minute session
• The presentation in PDF format
• A practical two-page reflection guide for applying the material to your own groups
