Sensory overload can feel like an inescapable wave, hitting us when we least expect it and leaving us drained, irritable, or even immobilized. For those with ADHD and autism, this experience is often magnified. From the bright glare of a screen to the overpowering scent of someone’s perfume, seemingly ordinary sensory input can spiral into overwhelming experiences.

As an ADHD coach, I work with people to help them better understand themselves, identify their sensory triggers, and develop strategies to manage their overwhelm effectively. Recognizing your sensory preferences—what soothes, energizes, or disrupts you—is a foundational step toward creating a supportive environment that works for you, not against you.
