The Grace of God Made Simple
Unmerited, unending, and entirely His — the grace of God. A Scripture-first, Trinitarian study of grace as God's own character: His unmerited favor toward sinners, abounding in Christ Jesus — "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God" (Ephesians 2:8). Twelve chapters trace grace from Genesis to Revelation: Noah finding grace in a drowning world, Abraham believing God and being counted righteous, the mercy seat covering the broken law, Paul the chief of sinners made a pattern of mercy, the cross of Jesus Christ where grace is most fully revealed, grace that teaches us to deny ungodliness, the throne of grace for daily need, sufficient grace in weakness, grace multiplied in suffering, grace overflowing in cheerful giving, and grace abounding to the end. Prayer to the Father, through Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior, by the Holy Spirit. Every chapter ends with a practice for the week and a prayer addressed to the Father through Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit.
