Direct Oral Anticoagulants (DOSC), these new agents produce predictable anticoagulation with no need for laboratory monitoring. This class includes; the direct oral factor Xa inhibitors such as rivaroxaban, apixaban and the direct oral thrombin (factor IIa) inhibitor; dabigatran.
Sofosbuvir (Sovaldi) is a nucleotide analog that inhibits RNA polymerase and used orally for treatment of HCV. It may be used alone or in combination with ribavirin. It is also used in combination with ledipasvir (Harvoni)
Malignant hyperthermia in response to suxamethonium, halothane has an autosomal dominant inheritance and is associated with mutation of ryanodine receptor RYR1. It is treated by dantrolene which blocks the RYR1receptor; Thus inhibiting calcium release from sarcoplasmic reticulum.
