Hublication Journalism: An Equal Voice for All

This is nominally free but ‘pay what you can’. Any kind payments will go towards fees for writers, a Zoom account, and expenses of any get-togethers for the world’s first ‘hublication’.

‘Journalism’ can turn purpose into profit and people into products. The very people it’s about are reduced to ‘audience’ or ‘eyeballs’ at whom ‘news’ is fired, usually without any role or input for them. It’s no wonder so few trust it.

But no one is coming to save us. We have to save ourselves. We have the means literally at our fingertips, and each other. It doesn’t matter that ‘journalism’ isn’t your profession. No one can tell your stories or those of your community or express your concerns and dreams like you can. You’re the world’s leading expert on your own experience.

’Hublication’ is a more egalitarian, accessible, hopeful, community- and solutions-focused model of ‘journalism’, where no one needs to ask permission to share ‘news’ or self-expression, or lacks ways to respond to that of others.
