How to do the activities!

Take your time with the activities!

We recommend doing 1 or 2 activities at a time. Give your child time to repeat the activities to allow mastery of the concepts. Doing an activity one time is not enough. You can continue an activity until you see that your child is interested, or until your child has mastered the skill/concept. This is not a race. Give your child all the time they need.

Age & Time Recommendations.

All our activities are leveled by age. You can go forward or backward with the age recommendations. These are generalized and broad recommendations based on expected milestones by age, but all children are different. Base your choice of activities, not only on the age recommendations, but also on the skill set or level of advancement of your child. We also have a time recommendation for each activity. The time recommendation is there to help you avoid overstimulation.

Be Patient.

Sometimes, our children will not participate the way we want them to, or they will not do the activities we want to do with them. That is okay! Don’t fret and don’t get upset. You can choose another activity or try another time. But don’t stop doing the activities, because no matter what, you are still bonding and teaching your child. That is the most important thing. Give your child time and patience.

Other Tips!

Good Timing is Crucial.

Do playtime bonding activities when your baby is calm and receptive. Do not do the activities when your child is hungry, sleepy, not feeling well, having tantrums, etc. Choosing a good time to bond and do the activities is crucial for success.

Be Happy While Bonding.

Make your child associate happy feelings with their bonding moments with you. Your child must feel that you are happy to bond and do the activities with them so that they will look forward to their bonding moments with you. This will also help them learn what is intended.

Be Flexible.

You can do the activities anywhere it feels comfortable for you and your baby, not necessarily where it is done in the videos. You don’t have to use the same materials that are being used in the videos, you can use whatever you have. You don’t have to follow the videos word-for-word. You can mend it and be flexible, to suit you and your baby. You can do the activities casually, whenever and wherever it feels right for you.
