TAL-U-NO-LX is a very popular Juno synth clone with IMHO the most faithful Juno sound recreation available. I used it as a reference most of the time while developing Junit and I also built each of the included sound patches on TAL-U-NO-LX first, before I transferred them to Junit to make them as authentic as possible.

Because I hate repetition (like most devs), I started to automate the transfer and ended up with a basic converter. And because I hate waste even more (like most devs), I thought I could just pimp it a little bit and turn it into a neat little tool for Junit users.

Yeah, and since I am also very good at downplaying the effort involved when I just feel like I really want to do something (probably also like most devs), this sidequest took me 3 weeks :-D...

So here it is: The Junit Converter will transfer your TAL-U-NO-LX presets into Junit compatible Circuit patches.

How good is it?

In my experience, about 60% of the converted patches are ready to use or require only minor manual adjustments to match the original sound. Presets with high filter resonance—and especially those with an inverted filter envelope—typically require a bit more manual tweaking to achieve better results. Finally, there is a small percentage of presets that cannot be reproduced at all (again, these are mostly sounds with high filter resonance).

Junit Converter is a single page web app that runs locally on most browsers/OS. It is included for free in the Junit package, if you already purchased it before just download the package again.
