The Circuit's macro knobs are fantastic for live performance, but programming the macros is always a particularly unpopular task for me when creating patches.
One reason for this is that I usually tackle this task at the very end, when the patch is actually already finished and I would much rather move on to the next one. Instead, it feels like I have to start all over again, changing parameters and adjusting the macros so that everything sounds the same again.
Also, the whole process is very manual, quite tedious and error-prone, so I always have to go back to an old state and start again.
In the upcoming version, there will therefore be some new functions that will make macro programming much easier.
The "Fill" function is particularly interesting: It allows individual parameters to be automatically transferred to a macro without changing the sound of the patch. In addition, there will be Copy & Paste for quick transfer from one controller to another, as well as functions for deleting macros and for printing out the current macro configuration in CSV style so that it can be easily transferred to an Excel document.
At the moment I am still testing the new features, so stay tuned!
