Here's a quick overview on how to use the Pocket Storage app
Overview
- Tab selector for 6 tabs with 16 patches each
- Patch field for patches to save or load. in "Circuit" mode (6) controls to transfer patches to the Circuit's internal memory will be displayed here.
- Synth selector switch, press to switch between Synth 1 and 2. This determines which synthesizer the patch is loaded to or saved from.
- Load mode. When active, tapping a patch slot uploads the corresponding patch to the currently selected synth.
- Save mode. When active, tapping a patch slot will save the patch of the currently selected synth to that patch slot.
- Circuit mode. Displays controls to write the patch from the currently selected synth to the circuit's internal memory (See section circuit mode below)
Load patch from app to circuit
- activate Load mode (4)
- select the synth you want the patch to be sent to (3)
- Tap on a patch slot in the patch field (2). The patch will be transfered to the selected synth
Save patch from circuit to app
- activate Save mode (5)
- select the synth you want the patch to be read from (3)
- Tap on a patch slot in the patch field (2). The patch will be transfered from the selected synth to the patch slot.
- If the patch slot already contains a patch it will be overwritten!
- To make changes permanent, save the touchOSC template!
Delete patch
- Press and hold a patch slot for half a second.
- The "Delete" icon appears
- Press the icon to clear the patch slot.
- To cancel the operation tap the patch slot anywhere outside the Delete icon.
Transfer patch to the circuit's internal memory
You can use the app to transfer the current patch from synth 1 or 2 to any of the circuit's internal 64 (OG) or 128 (Tracks) memory slots.
This is useful when you
- modified a patch with the macro knobs and want to save it as default
- edited a patch with an external (hardware) controller
- loaded a patch from the app and want to transfer it to the internal memory for standalone usage.
To transfer a patch
- Switch to circuit mode (6) in the overview image
- select the synth you want to transfer the patch from
- Press "GET" (1) to cache the patch of the selected synth. The patch name is displayed under PATCH
- On the circuit, switch to the preset you want to overwrite. You can switch through the presets and prelisten the patches untli you find a preset you are fine to overwrite. Switching a preset will update the preset number on the overwrite button (3)
- To transfer the cached patch, press the OVERWRITE button (3)
If you want to return to your modified patch while switching through presets, press the RESTORE button (2).
