Another question that is often asked concerns the TouchOSC version. I have to admit that I didn't think about this at all. I knew there was a mk1 version but thought it was obsolete. But in fact, it still seems to be widely used (or maybe people keep asking for it because they only want to buy touchOSC for the editor and the mk1 version is much cheaper in the Appstore?)
Anyway, the Novation Circuit Patch Editor only works with the new TouchOSC version, mainly because most of the features could not have been implemented in the old version at all.
Don't think of it as just a framework for the editor though. TouchOSC is a powerful tool for building incredibly versatile control surfaces and remotes, and there are tons of templates on the net for all kinds of use cases!
