1. First Impressions are lasting
Impressions are really the first point of connection and our smile shows others that we are open and friendly.
If you incidentally share eye contact with a stranger and they treat you with a kind smile, you will get the impression that they are friendly and harmless.
Conversely, you’d find it more challenging to trust a stranger with a scowl on their face. You may not even be willing to look them in the eyes
2. Smiling is infectious
Smiling can cheer people up, even strangers. When a person greets you with a smile, you naturally return the kind gesture.
For that instance, you both are enjoying a silent communication of love and respect and that is sure to add a boost of positivity to the rest of your day.
A loving smile at someone who isn’t already smiling draws them back to a shared present moment which makes them smile back at you.
You’d have brought a moment of happiness into their life and a sweet memory they can revisit all day.
3. Stick with the Smilers
When you spend time with someone who smiles a lot, you will find yourself being unconsciously influenced by their positive attitude. It is true that you become like those you surround yourself with.
It is difficult to not return a smile; as you walk through a crowded space, you can practice smiling a hundred times in a short period of time and you will notice the reflexes everywhere.
Smiling is a natural energy booster.
4. Smiling makes you new friends
Let’s be frank, no one is going to choose a miserable person for a friend when there are bubbly, happy, and positive people around. Our facial expressions tend to reflect the vibration of our inner thoughts.
A person with a cranky expression will be less attractive than a person with a passionate expression.
When a smile is reciprocated to you, it feels good and you feel like you have connected through silent communication with your potential new friend. This is usually the first step in the process of getting to know anyone.
5. We are Happy because we Smile
Smiling makes you positive and happy within you. Smiling is a wonderful habit that gives you drive and enthusiasm. When you smile, it is hard to feel unhappy. Even when you feel down, you can boost your mood simply by looking up and smiling for a few minutes.
Happiness is a by-product of smiling and not the other way around as we have been conditioned to believe.
So, get out there and smile your way to bliss. Look within and around you, there is so much in our lives to appreciate and smile about.
Peace & Joy
be with you.
