EasterCon 2026

On Good Friday, I packed my lil car and drove two hours down to Birmingham for Iridescence - otherwise known as EasterCon.

My stay was paid for by a bursary, which I'd honestly forgotten about applying for, and I'm very grateful to the people who pay into the fan funds that enable those less well-off to attend.

At the time of the conference, I wasn't writing for publication. Partly burnt-out, partly fed up of the state of the industry and the rise of AI. And writing D&D adventures was scratching the fiction itch.

Or so I thought.

However, being around fellow writers and listening to panels stirred the embers of my writing career. A good chat with the lovely Emma Newman - who's been in a similar situation for a different reason - enflamed them even more.

Tl,dr is that I'm back. Tentatively.
