Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve, my lessons use music to help you master English and Otjiherero in a way that’s interactive, memorable, and, most of all, fun.

Beyond teaching, I’ve worked as a volunteer translator for cultural and educational projects, translating between Otjiherero and English to make Namibian stories, songs, and traditions accessible to global audiences.

With a deep love for storytelling, languages, and cultural preservation, I bring warmth, creativity, and accuracy to every project I take on. Whether I’m teaching online, translating a text, or bridging cultural meaning, I believe language is not just communication — it’s connection.

Welcome to Herero Haven

Hello! I’m Unoo, a TEFL-certified online English teacher and native Otjiherero speaker from Namibia. I’ve always believed that languages are bridges between people and cultures.

My journey started with a deep love for music, storytelling, and performing arts — and I now use those passions to make language learning creative and meaningful.

I’ve taught learners from all over the world, helping them master pronunciation, grammar, and conversation in both English and Otjiherero. My goal is to help you fall in love with learning and express yourself confidently — in every language you speak.

Preserving the Pulse of Our Ancestral Voices

At Herero Haven, we believe that every word spoken in our native tongue is a thread connecting us to our history. Our mission is to ensure that the Otjiherero language remains a living, breathing force of African identity rather than a historical footnote.

Through personalized 1-on-1 tutoring and cultural storytelling, we empower a new generation to reclaim their narrative. We are dedicated to bridging heritage and modern education, safeguarding Namibian culture and fostering global understanding of our unique linguistic legacy.
