           A vast variety of charities help the communities in Cambridge Ontario. From the local churches providing meals to those in need, to the food banks helping supply groceries, the hope is no one will go hungry. Many gather together in charity locations for a meal and fellowship supplied mostly by volunteers.

           The churches vary from different perspectives of faith but one thing they agree on is charity helps more than anything else for those in need. This newsletter will promote some of the details of local charities and inform on their efforts.

Urban hope

Urban Hope Ministry in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

Urban Hope Ministry is a program of The Cambridge Vineyard Christian Fellowship, providing essential services to individuals in need in Cambridge, Ontario. Their mission is to empower people to take an active role in their lives, transforming them through faith, hope, and community engagement. ¹

Services Offered

Urban Hope Ministry offers a range of services, including:

- Hot meals

- Clothing

- Laundry facilities

- Showers

- Haircuts

- Grocery items

- Friendship and support with life-skills development

Their goal is to provide daily services, connecting people with resources to become healthy individuals. They serve approximately 140-200 people from their community, fostering relationships and promoting personal growth.

Community Events and Fundraising

Urban Hope Ministry participates in community events, such as the Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk, to raise awareness and support for those experiencing homelessness and vulnerability. In 2026, the event will take place on February 28th, and they invite the community to join them. ²

Getting Involved

You can support Urban Hope Ministry by:

- Donating clothing, toiletries, and grocery items

- Volunteering to help prepare meals and provide services

- Participating in fundraising events

- Praying for their ministry and the people they serve
