J. J. Mathews, Author

J. J. Mathews is a New Zealand-based Canadian writer who enjoys fiction of all kinds, but has a particular love for fantasy and sci-fi.

He has two YA (17+) sci-fi series currently published and complete: The Recycled Earth trilogy - post-apocalyptic dystopian (what happens after we render the Earth uninhabitable?) and the Taylor Neeran Chronicles, which could be described as coming-of-age far-future reverse galactic conquest (if you ever wondered what kind of influence a single human female could have on our galaxy's future history, read on...)

A third YA series is already in the works, which is a part sci-fi/part-fantasy far-future dystopian story about righting ancient wrongs, an evil Emperor, genetically-inherited special gifts and, of course, time travel. But, strictly speaking, no actual "magic". No magic wands, spells or sorting hats involved, anyway...

J. J. lives with his wife, three boys (now young adults, and maybe moving out, someday...!) and two cats, who aren't going anywhere if J. J. has anything to say about it. :-)
