Instagram Insurance Now Offered to Content Creators

Data shows an Instagram account gets hacked every 10 minutes in the U.S alone. Hackers are getting smarter and smarter each day.

Once your account is hacked, you might lose:

❌ Brand partnerships

❌ Income

❌ Followers

So what should you do if your IG gets hacked?

While there is no magic formula to fighting against a hacker, there are a few things you can try:

☑ Reach Out To IG Insurance Provider

Hopefully, you’ve already insured your account with Notch prior to being hacked. I can't begin to tell you how much peace of mind I have now that I am insured with Notch.

If so, the first thing you can do once hacked is file a claim.

After your claim processes, you’ll receive daily payouts that cover any loss to your income & help from experts in recovering your account so you can get back to business ASAP.

☑ Check Your Email Inbox

Hackers will try to change your login credentials to remove your access.

IG will send out an automated message to your old address (when this email address is changed).

So when you log into your email, you can click a button to "revert the change."

☑ Request a Login Link

You can contact IG to get this login link again if that doesn't work.

To request a login link: tap on “get help logging in” (Android) or “forgot password?” (iPhone).

☑ Change Login Credentials (if possible)

If the two steps above allow you to log in, the first thing you should do is change your password.

Don’t use a password similar to your previous one (make it as complex as possible).

☑ Report To IG and Verify Identity

But if you’ve tried everything above, there is an 11-step process you can try to verify your account.
