Krush the Wrestler
Krush is the subject of the award-winning documentary Krush the Wrestler by Alex Megaro. A longtime practitioner of wrestling and combat sports, he has trained in vale tudo, MMA, jiu jitsu, and military combatives.
In 2006, he began documenting his private matches and went on to create KRUSHCO, the first online platform centered entirely on a single independent wrestling character. Through streaming and digital downloads, Krush the Wrestler reached a global audience years before creator-driven content became commonplace.
Alex Megaro, Director
Alex Megaro is an award-winning filmmaker and the director of the acclaimed documentary short Krush the Wrestler. His work also includes producing and editing two seasons of the VICE documentary series Source Material and producing 8:08 How We Respond, an official selection of Sheffield DocFest and AFI Docs.
He is also known for producing and editing WTO/99, winner of the IDA Award for Best Editing, and producing Driftwood, winner of the Slamdance Grand Jury Prize for Narrative Feature.
