If you’re looking to squeeze one last winter project in before the season ends, or if you’re looking ahead to gift knitting season, then this is the one for you. The Square Basket Cowl is a quick and easy one skein worsted weight cowl that uses only knit and purl stitches. The basket weave sections are divided with an easy pattern of squares with ribbing at the bottom and top. Symmetry, geometry, and texture come together for a fast and fabulous result!


Yarn: Malabrigo Rios (100% superwash merino wool; 210 yd [192 m]/3.53 oz [100 g]). 1 skein. Shown in Pearl.


Needles: US size 7 [4.5 mm] 16” [40 cm] circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge.


Finished Measurements: Approximately 10 inches (25 cm) tall and 12 inches (30 cm) wide laid flat after blocking. Total circumference is approximately 24 inches (61 cm).


Skills required: Working in the round, knitting, and purling. Stitches used: k, p.


Pattern includes both written and charted instructions.
