There's nothing like a recommendation from a friend or someone you trust to convince you to try something new. Use the referral discount feature in Payhip to reward your customers every time they get somebody to sign up or buy a download.
Actions
- Decide on the discount level and model (is it a 'one off' or unlimited?).
- Set up the referral discount in the setting section of your Payhip account.
- Add marketing copy to your checkout page and customer emails. Example: "Tell a friend! If they buy a PDF, you'll get $5 in credit towards your next PDF".
Metrics
- Track the number of new customer sign ups from the start of the offer.
- Track the number of referral discounts.
- Work out the cost of referrals and compare to the sales uplift.
