Why Preparation Matters

Many women prepare extensively for the baby…

but very few are truly prepared for labour, postpartum, breastfeeding and the emotional transition into motherhood itself.

Childbirth education is not only about learning how birth works.

It is about helping families approach this season feeling:

  • calmer
  • more informed
  • less overwhelmed
  • and more supported.

The right preparation can help couples:

  • better understand labour and common interventions
  • communicate more confidently with healthcare providers
  • involve husbands more meaningfully in pregnancy, birth and postpartum
  • prepare realistically for recovery and breastfeeding
  • recognise warning signs when extra support may be needed
  • and approach birth with greater clarity instead of fear and confusion.

Birth experiences can stay with women for years.

And when families feel informed, respected and supported through pregnancy, birth and postpartum, the effects often reach far beyond labour itself.

They can shape recovery, confidence, bonding, marriage, family relationships and the atmosphere of the home a baby is welcomed into

Meet Your Educator

ASSALAAMU ALAYKUM, I'M ZAAHIDA NATASHA

I’m a childbirth educator, doula, breastfeeding counsellor, and mother of four.

Through my own experiences of pregnancy, miscarriage, hospital birth, homebirth, and postpartum, I realised there were many things I wish someone had explained to me earlier.

Not just what happens medically during birth, but how to understand my options, ask questions with confidence, involve my husband meaningfully, and approach birth feeling calmer and more informed.

I also saw how many women around me were entering birth overwhelmed, frightened, or feeling pressured into decisions they didn’t fully understand.

Some felt unheard.

Some carried fear from previous births.

Some simply wanted someone to explain things gently and clearly.

This course was created to help fill some of those gaps.

The lessons are simple, structured, and easy to follow, with a calm and evidence-based approach that also considers the emotional, spiritual, and family side of pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding.

My goal is not to tell parents what choices to make.

It’s to help them better understand their options, feel more prepared, and approach this season with greater clarity and confidence.

I learned so much in this course - even after previous pregnancies.

Zaahida explains everything in a simple and easy-to-understand way, helping me recognise the stages of labour and completely changing my perspective on birth.

This was my quickest and easiest labour, and I felt much calmer and more in control than I had in my previous births.

I only wish I had taken this course during my first pregnancy.

— Anon, Mom of 4

“Working with Zaahida gave me so much reassurance before labour and helped me trust myself and feel more at ease going into birth.

Before this, I felt nervous of the unknown and overwhelmed by the thought of giving birth again.

With the support, information and guidance I received, my experience felt completely different - and I finally had my healing birth.”

FAQs

“During my second pregnancy, I finally felt equipped with the understanding I lacked the first time.

I was able to ask questions confidently and truly understand what was happening throughout my care.

Although my TOLAC did not end in a VBAC, having that knowledge gave me the opportunity to try - and I approached the experience with far more calm afterwards.

After struggling to breastfeed following my first birth, being able to breastfeed my baby this time was one of the greatest blessings for me.

This journey felt entirely different. I left feeling informed, reassured and empowered, Alhamdulillah”

Designed with real family life in mind

This course was intentionally created to feel calm, manageable and easy to follow -especially for busy parents and neurodivergent learners who may feel overwhelmed by long lessons or excessive information.

As someone with lived experience navigating neurodivergence personally and within family life, I understand that attention spans, mental load and information processing can look very different from person to person.

The lessons are therefore kept shorter, simpler and easier to work through.

The course is also built in layers.

If you simply want the core guidance, you can watch the videos alone.

If you would like to explore certain topics in more depth, additional resources are included for optional deeper learning based on your own needs and interests.

This allows families to learn at a pace that feels supportive, flexible and realistic for real life.
