The Luminosity staff is proud to announce the first-annual STELLAR Awards for the Fake Tech Universe (FTU). These awards help uphold the highest standard of ethics in the FTU and recognize exceptional acts. This year, we will be giving awards for only three categories:
- Most Exceptional Fake Company
- Most Innovative Fake Product
- Best Musical Endeavor by a Fake Company
The STELLAR Awards only happen once a year - which means that earning the award is a very rare opportunity. The Awards usually have less than five categories, so earning one recognizes that you set a high standard for that category. Three categories is more than enough - if there were enough categories to recognize every type of product, service, company, and musical endeavors in the FTU, then everyone would have an award and it would lose its speciality. The STELLAR Awards start after the end of the third fiscal quarter, since most product launches happen in the fourth fiscal quarter. This means that the "cycle" really starts every third fiscal quarter. Schedule
Submissions start from October 1st to 6th. A list of nominations will be released on October 8th. Judging will occur during October 8th to 11th. Winners and runner-ups will be announced on October 12th.
How to Enter
Please DM Nebula or star on X or Discord to enter in the STELLAR Awards between October 1st and 7th. We will start taking submissions from 12:00 AM EST on October 1st and will be refusing submissions after 12:00 AM EST on October 7th. Mention when the product, service, or musical endeavor was released, or your submission will not be counted. Include a short sentence or two explaining why you chose this product for your lineup with an image for products and musical endeavors. Companies are only allowed one entry per category. Qualifications
- Most Exceptional Fake Company - Be a company that has been active since the fourth fiscal quarter of 2022 to the end of the third fiscal quarter of 2023 (October 1st, 2022 to September 30th, 2023).
- Most Innovative Fake Product - Must be a product that would be physical in the real world. It must be released after the fourth fiscal quarter of 2022 and before the end of the third fiscal quarter of 2023 (released between October 1st, 2022 to September 30th, 2023).
- Best Musical Endeavor by a Fake Company - A musical endeavor includes, but not limitited to, streaming services, artists under contract to a FTC, and/or programs devoted to the promotion of music. Services or programs must be released after the fourth fiscal quarter of 2022 and before the end of the third fiscal quarter of 2023 (released between October 1st, 2022 to September 30th, 2023). Artists must have at least been active once after the fourth fiscal quarter of 2022 and before the end of the third fiscal quarter of 2023 (released between October 1st, 2022 to September 30th, 2023). Judging Process
Each submission will be judged rigorously by the staff at Luminosity. They will be examining how will it fits the criteria, if it is a prime example of excellency, and if there are any effects on the FTU. Judging will be done as fair as possible and will show no bias towards any company.
