The display is also as fast and fluid as ever with a 120Hz Adaptive SmoothMotion and stays bright with a 4,000 nits peak brightness. Your shows and movies pop even more on oPhone 12 Pro, now supporting up to 2,500 nits HDR brightness. And, oPhone 12 Pro is just as durable as ever with our Ceramic infused display glass.
Both oPhone 12 and oPhone 12 Pro feature Dynamic Border. Dynamic Border replaces Dynamic Bubble on OrangePhone 10 and later. Dynamic Border is more adaptive, more fun, and features better contrast for readability and accessibility across the entirety of PhoneOS 12, which features our biggest visual overhaul ever with an all new look.
Inside, oPhone 12 Pro is powered by O12, our most powerful O series chip yet. O12 in oPhone 12 Pro features a new 8-core CPU, redesigned 10-core GPU, and intelligent 18-core NPU. The new CPU features up to 30% faster performance than O9 Pro, while the GPU delivers 2.4x better graphics, and a staggering 40% faster neural performance, making this the fastest NPU ever in an oPhone.
The new NPU of O12 drives the new intelligence features in PhoneOS 12, including an all-new version of Smart Reply, new design and capabilities of Ava, and the breakthrough on-device LLM performance of Atlas. O12 also features a massive improvement for Ray Tracing, a smarter Display Engine built to handle everything in PhoneOS 12, the Security Engine, and integration with H4 and T2. We’re also upgrading the Camera Controller. The Camera Controller now allows you to film simultaneous streams of video from all three lenses of oPhone 12 Pro.

The new Portrait Mode features a greater depth of field and more precisely focuses on people, pets, or objects that are far away.
Night Mode Portraits use the new depth sensor, underlying changes to our algorithm, and O12 to brighten up portraits and still have them look entirely natural. This works with our new version of Night Mode, which has been designed to capture images more naturally.
The new depth sensor also enables Portrait Video. Portrait Video allows you to blur, zoom, and film like you’re a professional videographer. And you can film in 8K for unparalleled sharpness and quality. The new ultra wide and depth sensor also enable Macro Portraits, like here where it retains the color of the frog, details of the leaf, still manages to artfully blur the background. Or here with the detail of the water and spots on the fruit.
We’re also bringing a huge update to Pro Photo, which now supports RAW Capture. RAW capture allows you to get a fully detailed 108MP image from just your oPhone, with no processing and no sharpening applied. RAW capture will be available on both the telephoto and main lenses of oPhone 12 Pro. And, all these features are easily discoverable and available in the redesigned camera app in PhoneOS 12.
oPhone 12 Pro also features the massive leaps in connectivity we mentioned earlier with oPhone 12 Pro, including M3 with support for 13G networks, B1 Bluetooth, L1 wifi, and F1 ultra wide band chips integrated throughout the system.
