Orange Pencil is our first ever stylus. It’s been designed to be compatible with the latest OrangePad models to bring out the creativity inside.
Orange Pencil features a lightweight plastic design. The design is used to keep Orange Pencil light, smooth, and comfortable.
Orange Pencil also features a rechargeable battery. Using the OrangePad’s USB-C port and included cable, Orange Pencil’s end pops off to allow you to plug it in. The battery charges up to 50% in 5 minutes so it’s ready to use quickly.
We’ve also designed a custom tip for Orange Pencil. The custom tip features pressure sensitivity and tilt sensing. These technologies measure how much force is being used on the pencil and what angle you’re drawing from. The custom tip and controller chip allow for 8ms latency between Orange Pencil and OrangePad.
Orange Pencil also features Bluetooth Finding. Using OrangePads built in Bluetooth radio, it pings back at Orange Pencil to help you find it.
Orange Pencil is compatible with OrangePad (4th gen) and OrangePad mini (3rd gen).
Pairing will require PadOS 4.1 or later, releasing on Monday, September 11th.
