OrangePhone 6 and 6 Plus bring big updates to some of the core technologies of OrangePhone to give you an even better experience. From new displays, an all new chip, to a reengineered camera system, OrangePhone 6 has it all.
OrangePhone 6 features the same two great sizes, a compact yet expansive 6.3” model, and a large 6.9” model. These new displays are built using our custom Super OLED XDR technology first featured on OrangePhone 5 Pro and OrangeBook Pro with X2 Pro. These new panels are capable of reaching higher peak brightness of up to 2000 nits. The display glass remains durable and strong with our nano-crystal infused Crystallized Display, tougher than any other smartphone glass. The displays also run at a fast, smooth, and responsive 1-120Hz refresh rate.
Powering OrangePhone 6 is the all new O6 chip. O6 features a new 5 core CPU and 5 core GPU design. The new CPU is able to achieve up to 20% faster performance compared to O5, and the new GPU is capable of up to 2x better graphics than O5. Efficiency has also been improved by up to 27%. This boost in efficiency gives OrangePhone 6 Plus the longest battery life ever in an OrangePhone.
On the back, OrangePhone 6 and 6 Plus feature an entirely new camera system. A new, larger 48MP sensor replaces the main lens and an improved 36MP camera takes the spot of the ultra-wide. Following in the steps of OrangePhone SE, OrangePhone 6 features custom designed camera sensors. In fact, OrangePhone 6 houses our highest resolution custom sensor yet. The main lens is capable of a new 2x sensor crop, giving you a full 12MP image and allowing for higher quality zoom. Next to the new lenses, we’ve built in a new Dual LED flash. This new flash is brighter and provides up to 2 times better low light performance.
On the front, OrangePhone 6 features a new 16MP selfie camera, now with Color Correction 2, an advanced color correcting algorithm to keep images as true to life as possible.
Stable Video has also been improved across all cameras.
On the side, OrangePhone 6 features completely redesigned and reengineered Touch Buttons. The redesigned tray is capable of an all new feature we call, Taps. Taps uses an advanced touch sensing algorithm to detect when you tap, long press, or swipe along the redesigned window. When you tap OrangePhone’s button tray, you can perform a Tap Action.
Tap Actions are performed by double or triple tapping the space in between the up and down symbols and sensors. You’re able to perform actions such as, opening an app, triggering the flashlight, triggering Ava, performing a shortcut, and toggling a noise mode. You’re also able to Long Press in between the area to quickly turn volume up or down. We’ve also added Swipes. Swipes allows you to swipe along the button tray to precisely control volume. You’ll see an on screen indicator when active to let you know what volume has been set to.
OrangePhone 6 is the first OrangePhone built for a wireless future. We’re reinventing charging technology by making OrangePhone 6 entirely portless for the first time ever. Going portless allows for up to 2x better water resistance, as well as larger batteries and improved speakers. MagHold3 has also been added to the back of OrangePhone 6. MagHold3 has been built with stronger magnets, faster charging, and support for data transfer, up to one gigabit per second. For customers who still want to use legacy charging technology, a USB-C model will be available for an additional cost.
OrangePhone 6 also features the new features throughout PhoneOS 6.
OrangePhone 6 and OrangePhone 6 Plus will be available in six all new colors, Pink, Bright Red, Bright Blue, Gray, White, and Orange.
OrangePhone 6 starts at $699 and OrangePhone 6 Plus starts at $799. Legacy charger supported models will be available as well for an additional cost.
