The new X6 chip delivers powerful performance, improved efficiency, enables all-new features and technologies, and more.
X6’s new 12-core CPU has been designed to be more powerful and efficient, now but using a state of the art 3nm process. The new CPU is up to 50% faster than X3, and up to 13% faster than X5, empowering you to work even faster and breathe through heavy workloads in no time.
X6’s new 12-core GPU enables up to 3.5x better graphics than X3, and up to 1.5x better graphics than X5, an almost generational leap in graphics performance. The GPU is also more efficient by up to 25% more than X5, even while under heavy loads, running demanding games, or using an improved version of ray tracing, now with real time effects and accurate reflections.
X6’s new 18-core NPU is up to 20% more powerful than X4, and is optimized for powerful AI performance, whether running on-device or in the cloud. The new NPU has been especially optimized for Orange’s powerful and personal AI features and models, including our 2nd generation on-device LLM Atlas, and the full feature set of Ava Intelligence.
X6 is also built with our powerful 4th generation Media Engine, capable of up to 2.3x faster video rending, which is huge for video editors on the go.
X6 also introduces both the Display Engine and Security Engine to our X series chips. The Display Engine is built to quickly, dynamically, and intelligently control the built in displays, and on products with newer Adaptive Light Sensors, which are more tightly integrated into the system, it works much faster than before. The Display Engine is also built to rapidly increase between SDR and HDR brightness levels, so watching your favorite shows and movies gets even better. The Security Engine enables up to 1.5x faster FaceUnlock, and is built with on-device encryption by default, making your device up to 3x more secure than before.
Integrated into X6 are big updates for our connectivity chips, including the next generation T3 chip. T3 enables an up to 2x faster wireless connection, and allows for an up to 35% more stable connection between devices. Since it’s such a leap from T2, it also enables AirShare 2. AirShare 2 is faster and more reliable than AirShare Ultra. AirShare 2 is also built to be an open platform, meaning both Orange and 3rd party platforms can now connect and wireless share files or data between them. AirShare 2 is available on X6 devices starting next week, and will be accessible to 3rd party platforms next month. Alongside T3 is our next generation audio chip, H5. H5 features a 1.8x higher bandwidth, can create a 15% more stable connection, and is able to connect up to 2x further away than H4, allowing you to have more freedom when connected to other H5 accessories.
The new CPU, GPU, NPU, built in engines, and refined connectivity chips all come together to create our most advanced X series chip yet.
The first products with our X6 series of chips will start being announced today, and continue throughout the week.
