Today, Orange announced a plethora of new technologies, updates, hardware, and more.
Updates
PhoneOS 4
PhoneOS 4 introduces a more compact notification design, new Lock Screen Bubbles, a new time option for always-on display, an all new Mango and more. oMessage also now supports contact photos, Orange. Music supports lyrics and oPlay right from the song, Maps has RealView, and Weather comes to PhoneOS for the first time.
PadOS 4
PadOS 4 features the same new design for notifications, Lock Screen customization, the same new Lock Screen bubbles, Notification Bay, and the all new Mango. It also includes contact photos in oMessage, new oSearch navigation and control bar, RealView in Maps, enhanced multi user support, reimagined split screen, and dual booting capability.
WristOS 1
WristOS 1 replaces WatchOS as OrangeWatch’s software, with it comes a heap of new features, new design, and new watch faces. New faces include Default, Bubbles, Gradient, Solar Gradient, Photos, Photos Depth. Mango Suggestions, Earth, and Moon. New designs and features also come to oMessage, Heart Rate, and Orange Music.
OrangeOS Sierra
OrangeOS ditches its numbers for an all new naming scheme. It includes updates to notifications, Bubbles, compact notifications with Notification Bay, Pinned Bubbles, Pinned Files, oMessage, Orange Music, oSearch, Maps, and it introduces Menu Bar.
Hardware
OrangePad Pro and OrangePad Pro Max
Our most powerful OrangePad ever, supercharged by X1. The new OrangePads have larger displays at 11.1” and 12.8” as well as the X1 chip delivering crazy faster performance. They also feature FaceUnlock, 9G cellular connectivity, USB-C, and four new colors.
oTop
oTop now features a larger 5.5K 25” display with 25% more colors. It also features the performance of X1, a thinner and lighter design, more expansive connectivity, and five all new colors.
X1 Pro
X1 Pro is our first pro X series chip. It delivers fast performance throughout its 12 core CPU and 12 core GPU. X1 Pro has up to 2.1x the CPU performance of X1 and 4x the GPU performance. X1 Pro also features a new ISP, the Media Engine, motion processor, and an improved efficiency design.
OrangeBook Pro
OrangeBook Pro now has X1 Pro, making it our fastest OrangeBook yet. The new OrangeBook Pro has an improved 14” mini-led display now with 120Hz, the X1 Pro chip delivering up to 31% faster performance, the media engine, up to 16h of web browsing, advanced camera features, FaceUnlock, and three new colors.
OrangeFlip V2 and OrangeFold
The flipable OrangePhone returns and brings a foldable with it. Our new foldables are our best yet and bring with them the powerful O3 chip, advanced 36MP dual camera system with its latest features, 12MP selfie cameras with Color Correction, FaceUnlock, 8G, Emergency SOS with Satellite, USB-C, three new colors, and more.
