Today, we introduced the most powerful base model OrangeBook yet, OrangeBook with X2 and 8 core GPU.
OrangeBook features a 13.7” LCD display, the largest for the standard OrangeBook yet. With the display comes a quick 90Hz refresh rate. The smoother refresh rate makes everything you do on your OrangeBook look faster, smoother, and so much better.
OrangeBook features a refined design. The design is 30% thinner than the X1 model, making it almost the same thickness as OrangeBook Air with X2. The thinner body still allows for efficient cooling. The body has also been made 8% lighter than OrangeBook with X1, making it more comfortable for when you have to carry it. With the thinner body, we’ve added a new metal underplate under the top casing to keep it sturdy and stiff, even as OrangeBook ages.
OrangeBook also now features the X2 chip with 8 core GPU. X2 gives OrangeBook a jump in CPU performance with its 8 core CPU and a great improvement over the previous 7 core model with the new 8 core GPU. Mixed with the more efficient parts and larger battery of the new OrangeBook, it now is able to achieve up to 1h longer of its battery life, for a total of 15h of wireless web browsing.
OrangeBook also features an improved webcam. The new webcam carries over the 16MP resolution from OrangePhone 6 and fits into an even more compact space than the old 720p webcam. OrangeBook also inherits OrangePhone 6’s newer FaceUnlock sensors for even faster unlocking and verification.
The new OrangeBook comes in three colors, Neon Orange, Silver, and Gray.
OrangeBook starts at a new price of $799.
