OrangePin receives two all new colors and an official release date

Since its announcement in May, we’ve been working hard to get OrangePin to the point where you’ll be able to depend on it. We’ve gone through hours of testing, production, and more to bring the future to you, once again. We’ve been waiting for our chance to share more about it.

Firstly, OrangePin will be available in two additional colors, Gray and Orange.

As mentioned when it was announced, OrangePin features a breakthrough new combination chip we call, N1. N1 features a 4 core CPU, 8 core GPU, and 16 core NPU. The 4 core CPU is the same that drove the powerful performance of OrangePhone 5 Pro just two generations ago, and the 8 core GPU is the same from X2, driving those powerful machines. The all new 16 core NPU is the same we began shipping in OrangePhone 7 and OrangePhone 7 Pro just last month. This provides OrangePin with powerful features like on-device Ava while still getting over 2x faster response times than OrangePhone 6. Even with this all new chip, OrangePin has been tested and proven to still provide all day battery life.

OrangePin also stays fast on the go with 11G connectivity, using the same advanced modem we’ve built into OrangeWatch, OrangePad, and OrangePhone.

When we announced OrangePin, we said it would start at $649. But today, we’re happy to announce that OrangePin will actually start from $499. This brings a much more accessible price even before launch. And, every feature of OrangePin will always work, with no subscription required. Pre-orders for OrangePin will officially begin on July 29th, and availability will start August 9th.

Our Pin API will be open beginning with firmware version 1.1, this enable 3rd party apps, Ava integration, and oProjector support for said 3rd party apps.

Once again, we think OrangePin is shaping what the future of technology can be.
