National Unicorn Day

My search bar is informing me it’s National Unicorn Day, which, after I read a bit more about I

I’m happy to celebrate. I also bought a unicorn pin last month, so this is fitting. The official definition mentions grace, power and mythical strength and also, and bringing awareness to bullying. I can get behind all of that.

For me, it always represented rarity, uniqueness, and pride in my individuality. I personally respect my path and preferences and the path and preferences of all others with discernment. This basically means I like who I am, who I’ve been, and who I am becoming, so I can appreciate others for who they are without needing to diminish them to feel better or follow where I don't feel I fit in.

That’s my take on the unicorn. During loud home repairs, I found myself watching a VH1 special on Stone Temple Pilots and Green Day, two bands that were pivotal for me during the 90s in accepting, finding, and living my own authenticity. The sound was incredible and reminded me of how much I enjoyed the unique music that came out of that era.

All in all, I’d say it's a pretty good sync and is a part of what I do as a creative positive truth coach, assisting myself and others in finding, remembering, and amplifying positive points while building momentum around these. Such a satisfying and relatively unique thing.
