Here's a simple recipe for pickled red onions:

Ingredients:

1 medium red onion

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1 cup hot water

Steps:

Thinly slice the red onion.

In a jar, combine apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and hot water. Stir until the sugar and salt are fully dissolved.

Add the sliced red onion into the jar, ensuring they're fully submerged in the vinegar mixture.

Let it sit at room temperature for at least 1 hour if you want to use them immediately. For best results, refrigerate the jar and use the pickled onions after 24 hours. They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
