I saw this on my Facebook feed the other day and thought wow that could be me!
I must admit that whilst painting - (you can see my story here about my art journey), I did a lot of crafts to
sell at fares during Christmas and I really enjoyed creating different items. I purchased a Cricut back then, and must admit used it for 2 years but I found that, perhaps it was vinyl I purchased but my cutouts and design took a lot of work, I wanted something quick and simple. I finally found something I could work with - a Die Cutting machine. So cool, this is(below) a smaller machine so it depends what you would use it for - Junk Journaling, Card making or scrapbooking?
Here is what I have learned about Die Cutting machines in the craft world: their precision of die-cutting ensures clean edges and consistent shapes, making it a favorite tool among scrapbookers, card makers, and junk journal enthusiasts. Whether you're creating detailed embellishments or cutting out large shapes for stencils, a die-cutting machine enhances the crafting process, saving time and effort while elevating the quality of the final product.
I am sure you can get that same quality with a Cricut, but you would need software, spend time creating a design, although it is your own very detailed design, or purchased form their software, then making sure the blade works with the vinyl paper. Cricuts are about $300, Die Cutting are about $150. Ok, so I do have to buy die cutting metal plates - which I think can be used not just for card making.
I started by purchasing a small machine, as I just wanted to cut small images like these die cutting and embossing designs on plain card stock.
I used die cutting plates to create designs in my handmade shopping list booklets.
For those who enjoy making junk journals, a die-cutting machine is an indispensable tool. Junk journals, which are often made from a mix of recycled materials, old books, and personal memorabilia, benefit greatly from the creative possibilities offered by die-cutting. With a die-cutting machine, crafters can easily add unique and decorative elements such as lace-like borders, themed shapes, and customized tags. This not only adds aesthetic value but also personalizes the journal, making it a truly one-of-a-kind creation. Moreover, the versatility of die-cutting machines allows crafters to experiment with different textures and layers, adding depth and dimension to their journals.
In addition to enhancing the visual appeal of crafts and junk journals, die-cutting machines also provide a satisfying and therapeutic crafting experience. The act of selecting dies, arranging materials, and operating the machine can be a mindful and relaxing process. For many crafters, the ability to produce precise and professional-looking results boosts confidence and encourages further creativity. With the wide range of dies available, from basic shapes to intricate designs, the possibilities are virtually limitless. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or a beginner, investing in a die-cutting machine can open up a world of creative opportunities, making every project a delightful and fulfilling endeavor.

As well as doing crafts(shopping list booklet) with die cutting, I am also creating notebooks and I also add some tags and sleeves inside my notebooks.
I have also used this website for ideas about fonts 211 fonts for $12.00
Created this notebook with some of these beautiful fonts.
I hope I have inspired to do more, create more, make art.
