I'm not sure why anyone thinks Denis Villanueve is somehow going to be faithful to James Bond. There's very little chance he makes a traditional and masculine 007. Infact there is about a 75% chance Timothee Chalemate is cast as James Bond and Zendeya is given the role of M -- Because she would never be a "Bond Girl" but she definitely would be 007s Boss.
I'm warning everyone. This Denis Villanueve James Bond isn't going to be James Bond as you want him or expect him to be. Moreover it is going to be used as a way for Denis Villanueve to reward his favored Troupe of actors and at the top of that list is Timothee Chalemate and Zendeya. Both of which Amazon would love to have in one of their projects.
