The Alex Kurtzman Star Trek Era (Error) is finally coming to a well deserved close. But it isn't the end of Star Trek. Infact I believe a rebirth, and return to form is on the near horizon.
And look. Even Rod Roddenberry has acknowledged that Star Trek has gone off course and needs to return to form. I believe Ellisons are already setting the table for that, and just waiting for the eventual clean break from Alex Kurtzman's shockingly iron clad contract.
They have made the Original Star Trek series and Berman Era a Frontline on Pluto TV. Not merely channels mind you, but entire category just dedicated to proper Star Trek. That was done with a larger purpose. The WB Merger is also going to play a role in Trek's rebirth, count on it. At least in respect to the comic books. Expect Star Trek to return to a restructured DC Comics. Oh yeah. I have quite a few thoughts on that particular topic. But will save them for a DC Comics... And TMNT post.
Suffice it to say. No. Star Trek isn't dead. Its just regrouping.
