In 2023 I had the opportunity to work with a project called "Slöjdfilm", witch was a series of 5 stop motion animations with crafts.
PIGLET MEAT BALLS
The first stop motion animation is called Piglet meat balls, and is a story about preparing Swedish meat balls. The main techniques in this animation are freeform crochet and needle felting.
WINE AND CHEESE
The next one, "Wine and Cheese" focuses on both woodwork, crochet and needle felting.
STRAWBERRY CAKE
This piece, "Strawberry cake", is focused primarilly on freeform crochet but also some needle felting as well.
MEAT EATER
Animation nr 4 is called "Meat Eater" and features the cutest Venusian fly trap made of paper.
Here I also incorporated a fly which I drew and animated in Procreate and added to the story in post.
DARTS
And the fifth and final animation, "Darts", was the hardest to complete! It is an embroidery piece and since I had to create the illusion that I was drawing I had to embroider while I was filming which was a challenge in and of itself.
