About Suzuki (Kentaro) and His Plugins
Kentaro Suzuki (or simply “kentaro”) is a sound designer and audio programmer who develops a series of audio plugins focusing on Max for Live (M4L) and VST3/AU formats. He works in partnership with Kengo Suzuki, who contributes by converting his M4L devices into VST3/AU using the JUCE framework (kentaro.tools, kengo.dev).
Main Plugins:
- Particle-reverb
- A granular reverb composed of two granular units and delays. It features parameters such as debris (grain amount), plank (grain transition), and pitch-shift through tone mixing. It enables unique textures that are hard to achieve with conventional reverbs like shimmer. Available in VST3, AU, and M4L (kentaro.tools).
- Other works include devices such as LFO-Sketch, MOD-CV8, Fractal Filters, among others:
- LFO-Sketch turns drawings into complex modulators (LFOs) that can modulate up to three parameters in Ableton Live (synthanatomy.com).
- MOD-CV8 is a CV generator with 8 LFO slots (synthanatomy.com).
- His projects have also been featured on Synth Anatomy as notable works using M4L, Reaktor, or Pure Data (synthanatomy.com).
Additionally, Kentaro provides synthesizers, granular reverbs, LFO devices, and clip manipulators, as listed on his MaxForLive.com profile (maxforlive.com).
