DROP DEAD

DROP DEAD — 2024 / 2025

My work with Drop Dead across 2024 and 2025 represents an important chapter in my professional practice as a full-time graphic and apparel designer within the Drop Dead creative team.

Joining the team in 2024 gave me the opportunity to work directly within the brand’s creative environment, contributing to its visual output across apparel graphics, prints, typography, illustrations, and visual concepts. Rather than working on isolated freelance commissions, I was part of the team throughout the development process, working continuously across projects and contributing to the broader visual direction of the brand. The role allowed me to work closely with Oli Sykes, Jacob Harry Carter, and the wider creative team, developing graphics from initial concepts through refinement and final application. Much of the work involved exploring multiple visual directions, responding to feedback, and adapting designs across different garments and placements. My work covered a broad range of graphic applications, including front and back graphics, sleeve treatments, typography, distressed artwork, illustrations, central compositions, and other visual elements developed specifically for apparel. Each piece was approached not only as an individual graphic, but as part of a larger collection and visual system.

Being part of the team on a full-time basis also meant being involved in the ongoing rhythm of the brand developing new ideas, refining existing concepts, responding to creative direction, and working alongside production to ensure that the original graphic intentions could translate effectively into finished garments.

The creative process was highly collaborative. Ideas often moved between graphic design, art direction, fashion, photography, mixed media, and production before reaching their final form. Working within this multidisciplinary environment allowed me to better understand how individual design decisions contribute to a complete fashion and visual identity.

A significant part of the experience was the creative freedom I was given. Within Dropdead’s established visual language, I was able to explore darker, experimental, distressed, and unconventional graphic approaches while continuing to develop my own visual vocabulary as a designer. I’m especially grateful to Jacob Harry Carter for discovering my work and giving me the opportunity to become part of the Dropdead team. His trust and creative direction were an important part of my experience throughout this period. Working under the creative direction of Oli Sykes, Jacob Harry Carter, and Veronika, and alongside the wider Dropdead team, allowed me to contribute to a substantial body of work across 2024 and 2025.

Looking back at these two years, the experience represents much more than a collection of individual graphics. It was an opportunity to develop professionally within an international fashion environment, while gaining a deeper understanding of apparel design, visual systems, art direction, production, collaboration, and the relationship between graphic design and fashion.

The work presented here is a selection from that period.
