Every year on June 19, we pause to remember a defining moment in American history.
Juneteenth commemorates the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas finally learned they were free—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed.
It is a day of remembrance.
A day of celebration.
A day of hope.
This year, I wanted my collection to tell that story through art, gifts, and everyday products that inspire conversations about freedom, resilience, and legacy.
The Meaning Behind the Official Juneteenth Flag
One of the most recognizable symbols of Juneteenth is its beautiful red, white, and blue flag.
Many people are surprised to learn that these colors were intentionally chosen.

The official Juneteenth flag reflects the colors of the American flag to remind us that Black Americans have always been an essential part of America’s story.
Freedom was delayed—
Never denied.
⭐ The Bursting Star
The large white star represents Texas—the Lone Star State—where freedom was announced on June 19, 1865.
Its bright “bursting” outline symbolizes:

✨ Hope
✨ Limitless potential
✨ Freedom for Black Americans in every state.
🌅 The Arc
The sweeping red curve across the bottom of the flag represents a new horizon.
It reminds us that every generation has an opportunity to continue building a brighter future.
It’s a symbol of progress.
Of possibility.
Of legacy.
Honoring Black Heritage
While the official Juneteenth flag uses red, white, and blue, many celebrations also include the colors of the Pan-African flag:
