What a joy it is to have you here.

I have always believed that stories are rather like unexpected guests. They arrive with muddy shoes, bright eyes, and secrets tucked into their pockets, and somehow, before we know it, they have made themselves quite at home in our hearts.

Mine come from many places: the wild and wonderful land of South Africa, the ache of history, the tenderness of friendship, the mischief of memory, and the sort of love that refuses to be sensible.

I hope, as you wander through these pages, you find something that makes you smile, something that catches your breath, and perhaps even something that feels as if it was waiting just for you.
