About Me:

I’m Alex Wagner, a retired Division I athlete and Vanderbilt University alumna. I earned a degree in Human and Organizational Development with a minor in English and later pursued a Master’s in Marketing, all while playing left back for the Vanderbilt Women’s Soccer Team in the SEC. Over five seasons, I had the privilege of contributing to a team that won an SEC Championship, recorded multiple defensive shutouts, and reached the Sweet 16 for the first time in program history. I also rank among the top five in career minutes played at Vanderbilt and was recognized as SEC Defensive Player of the Week.

I still remember how overwhelming and stressful the recruiting process felt as a young athlete. I often wished I had guidance to navigate the calls, emails, and high-stakes decisions that seemed impossible to manage alone. That experience inspired me to mentor younger athletes while at Vanderbilt, and today I serve as a recruiting coach, helping student-athletes and their families approach the process with confidence. Combining my firsthand experience, love for writing, and passion for sports, I created this guide to provide the guidance I once wished for—so others can navigate recruitment with clarity, purpose, and peace of mind.
