After six years of dreaming, writing, rewriting, and pouring my heart into this story, The Fauna and the Flora is finally real.
For years, this story has only existed in my mind and on my screen — files, drafts, words in digital form. And now, for the first time, I held it in my very own paws. To feel the weight of it, to turn the pages… knowing it is self-published, 100% by me… it was very much a dream come true.

The cover itself was inspired by our old avocado green and harvest gold kitchen with a TV perched on the counter. Don’t call between 11 and 12… my story is on!

Now here’s something you won’t find in most novels: opening credits. That’s because this is the world’s first daytime soap opera… in a book! It has full chapters, but it also carries the rhythms of daytime drama — a dramatic opening scene, opening credits, commercial breaks, ending credits, and even a ‘Next Time on The Fauna and the Flora…’ preview of Book 2. When you flip open these first pages, you see a cinematic intro to the show: a single green leaf drifting from character to character, dissolving into the title... like you’re watching a TV screen inside of a book.

I have scheduled the release date for Tuesday, November 11, 2025. On that day, The Fauna and the Flora will be available on Amazon in paperback, eBook, and audiobook form (narrated by me).
For 30 years, I’ve studied every twist, takeover, feud, and dead-not-dead plot Y&R had to offer. Now, I’ve reimagined that spirit in the forest — with an unforgettable story for restless hearts like yours and mine.
I’ll be back in touch with you soon, and next time... I’ll be sending a sneak peek of the story itself.
Until the next twist,
Ali
