WHAT IS THE DOM/SUBVERSE?

The dom/subverse is another trope that's taken some inspiration from the omegaverse, but instead of Alphas, Betas and Omegas, in the dom/subverse we've got Dominants (or Sadists), Submissives (or Masochists), Switches and regular people (or Normals). The dom/subverse is an alternate universe where being a Dominant, a Submissive or a Switch is biological and instinctive almost like a secondary gender in the omegaverse.

In the dom/subverse these terms or 'traits' aren't a part of kink play like in our world, in the dom/subverse they're part of human biology. For example, with the Dominants needing to dominate their partners, the Submissives needing to be dominated and Switches having the urge to do both (though some worldbuilding in the dom/subverse excludes Switches).

Sometimes, if these biological urges are ignored for a long period of time, they (typically the Submissive) can feel uncomfortable or even fall sick, this can be known as a "frustrated state". Because of this suppressants and other medicines have been created to help these Dynamics (or classifications or designations) suppress their biological urges, though finding a partner is recommended.

In the dom/subverse,Dominants have "Commands" that calls to a Submissive's instinctive and biological nature to submit, These Commands include but aren't limited to "come", "stay", "present". "kneel". "crawl" or "lick". Dominants also have a "glare", a general term for their intense aura or "presence" that can make a Submissive (and even other weaker Dominants) submit to them.

Like in the omegaverse, in the dom/subverse there are "Dynamic Aptitude Tests" where ones Dynamic can be determined during their "second growth" (basically puberty or their "maturing phase"). There are cases where ones "Dynamic Aptitiude Test" results can fluctuate over time, like for example a Normal presenting as a Dominant or Submissive (or even a Switch) after their test.

There's also "aftercare", "subspace" & "subdrop", "safewords" and "claiming" (or "collaring"). The dom/subverse basically follows the rules of the BDSM community/the dom and sub dynamics, so if you know your stuff you can honestly go wild with the dom/subverse.

The dom/subverse is also referred to as "biokink" by others, but personally I'll stick to calling this trope the "dom/subverse" because that's how this trope was introduced to me as, and it makes more sense to me, but you can use whatever terms you like.
