The Namerverse is a subtrope in the soulmate AU, and is categorised underneath the "Soulmate Marks" or "Soulmarks" subtrope. The Namerverse is said to have originated in Korean fandoms. People in the namerverse are commonly divided into two categories: "Namers", those who were born with the name or initial of their destined partner/s somewhere on thier bodies, and "No-Namers", those who weren't born with any mark on their bodies.
In some stories the mark on the "Namers" are faint when their destined mate aren't born yet, and becomes clearer when they are. In some stores "Namers" are considered special and gain access to special perks and benefits from the goverment once their "Namer" status is made public and they register on the Namer Registry.
The Namer Registry is a worldwide initiative that can allow "Namers" to find their soulmate, that is if their soulmate have also registered on the Namer Registry. The Namerverse is most commonly found in the Korean BL manhwa community, but has slowly been branching out into other fandoms over the years.
Other tropes under the Soulmate Mark subtrope include, but definitely isn't limited to "Glowing heart", "Changed vision", "Colours", "First/Last words", "Matching injuries", "Tally marks", "Shared vision or thougths", Symbols/Tattoos", "Timers", "Writing on skin/Skin writing" and more!
Some examples of the Namerverse are Blue name pressure, Pian pian, Misunderstanding, Ebony Castle, Evergrey and so on.
