The Doseverse (or Drugverse) is another alternate universe style concept that has been trending recently. In this universe there is a minority of humans that are called Arzt (or Drugs) and Kranke (or Patients).
ARZTS
Arzts (or Drugs) make up about roughly 10% of the world’s population. They are immune to all kinds of illnesses and diseases, and along with being immune they’re also able to heal all kinds of illnesses and diseases, especially rare and incurable diseases, with a simple touch.
(It is to be noted, that while Arzt’s are able to cure incurable diseases, their ability is not an all-powerful medicine that has immediate effect and they also cause some slight side-effects like regular medicine. The side effects depend on the condition of the patient the Arzt is treating.)
Like in the Guideverse with Espers and Guides, the more intimate an Arzt’s touch the more powerful the healing. Arzt are able to heal both Krankes and normal humans, but if the Arzt touches a Normal for a long period of time the Normal can become addicted to the Arzt and want to be healed more and more by the Arzt.
However, as with any medicine taken in excess this can end up with the Normal overdosing (which is where the “dose” in doseverse comes from) and can even end up dying. Which is why some Arzt don't even want to have any physical contact with a Normal to prevent this from happening.
NORMALS
Normals make up about 80% of the world's population and while they can be treated by regular medicine and doctors, but those with incurable diseases that regular medicine and doctors can't treat, are cured by Arzts.
However, again excessive periods of healing from an Arzt can make the Normal become addicted and can lead to an overdose when they don't get the healing they need.
Normal parents can give birth to a Kranke or Arzt. During pregnancy, an Arzt’s mother won't become addicted to their child’s touch, but it in turn causes the normal mother to be immune to all Arzts’ treatment by, meaning they won't be able to ever be cured by an Arzt, even if they have an incurable disease.
KRANKES
Krankes (or Patients) make up about another 10% of the world's population and they were born sickly and with an incurable disease that no regular doctor can figure out or regular medicine can cure. Only an Arzt can cure a Kranke, and unlike Normals, they don't get addicted to an Arzt’s touch.
Unlike the Arzts’ that are revered and respected for their ability to heal, Krankes are disliked because of their special constitution, especially because of the emotional, mental and financial strain it can bring to their parents and/or loved ones. And while a Kranke's disease isn't contagious, there is the stigma that getting close to one will make you sick too.
Because of this, there are institutes dedicated to Krankes where they can be sent (either willingly or unwillingly), to be treated by an Arzt, and essentially live away from society. These institutes pay Arzts’ a lot of money to hire them, because curing a Kranke can take a lot of time and sometimes, without constant treatment, a Kranke’s disease can even relapse.
For a Kranke to be completely cured they need to form a bond with an Arzt. A bond is formed when a Kranke ingests the blood of a willing Arzt, but if the bond is broken or the Arzt dies, the Kranke can relapse and even end up dying themselves.
Like I said, the Doseverse has recently been trending, especially in Japanese BL communities and is still in its relatively infant stage, but this just means there's so much room for this alternate universe to be expanded upon as it grows even more in popularity.
